FAISALABAD. Non-Resident Pakistanis have deposited more than one billion dollar in Roshan Digital Account (RDA) within a short span of 9 months which will not only help Pakistan to get rid of foreign loans but also help strengthen the national economy on a solid and sustained basis. Talking to the executive members through online, President Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) Engineer Hafiz Ihtasham Javed said that despite of global recession due to coronavirus, huge investment in Roshan Digital Account is indicative of the confidence of non-resident Pakistanis in Pak economy. He appreciated the prudent measures taken by State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) for the rehabilitation of the national economy and said that it had introduced various schemes to control unemployment due to corona related lockdowns. “Now SBP has launched this unique and innovative scheme of Roshan Digital Account which has paved the way to enhance foreign exchange reserves without getting foreign loans”, he added. He also appreciated that SBP was also contemplating to introduce yet 2 another schemes to refurbish national reserves.
Appreciating the monetary and economic policies of the government, he said that Pakistani growth rate will surpass the down played projections of world financial institutions which is imperative for the expeditious progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
