Lahore High Court has declared FBR “Tax Incentive Scheme” of 2013, as illegal and without lawful authority (Annex-A), and requested to take suo-moto action against untaxed/black money whitened by notification S.R.O 1065 – Financial NRO (Tax Amnesty) at the cost of public exchequer, declared illegal by LHC.

In a latest development to tighten the noose around dual nationality holder bureaucrats, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Thursday informed the Supreme Court that 152 bureaucrats had concealed their dual nationality.

8. GDP Growth will be adversely affected if inflation goes beyond 6pc

GDP growth has closed link with inflation and if inflation goes beyond 6 percent it adversely affects the growth.
According to State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Working Paper Series “Threshold inflation in Pakistan”, written by Muhammad Farooq Arby and Amjad Ali, inflation below 5.67 percent may be favourable for economic growth and inflation above 6.05 percent can hurt growth.

10. Foreign reserves on declining path

he country’s total liquid foreign reserves continued to decline and further fell $152 million during the last week.
According to State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) weekly report, Pakistan’s total liquid foreign reserves stood at $17.796 billion as on March 30, 2018 as compared to $17.948 billion as on March 22, 2018.
