FAISALABAD. Mr. Usman Rauf of M/s. Usman Traders was officially declared elected Vice President during an Extra Ordinary General Body meeting of the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI).

Mr. Shahid Ahmad Sheikh senior member FCCI Election Commission told that immediately after the Annual General Elections, Rana Fiaz Ahmad had resigned from the office of Vice President due to his personal engagements outside Pakistan. It has necessitated the new election against this office under the FCCI Memorandum of Articles. Hence a new Election Commission was constituted to complete the legal requirement.  Ch. Muhammad Boota another member of the Election Commission told that as per election schedule only one nomination paper of Mr. Usman Rauf was received on the date of filing nomination papers. However, after the scrutiny of paper, Mr. Usman Rauf was declared elected unofficially and an extra ordinary General Body was convened on November 28, to officially announce the result of this election.

In this brief dress Mr. Usman Rauf thanked Mian Muhammad Idrees, Mian Javaid Iqbal, Haji Muhammad Shafi and specially the staff of the FCCI secretariat and assured that in collaboration with President Mr. Shabbir Hussain Chawala, & Senior Vice President Sheikh Farooq Yousaf, he will try his optimum best to resolve the problems of the business community.

The house also disposed off the remaining agenda in addition to endorsing the proceeding of the previous meeting.

Later, Mr. Usman Rauf officially took over the office of Vice President. President FCCI Mr. Shabbir Hussain Chawla, Senior Vice President Farooq Yousaf, Mian Muhammad Rafi of Bhalwal Embroidery and Secretary General FCCI Mr. Abid Masood visited his office to congratulate him. They also garlanded and presented him Bouquets.
